Writer Submission Guidelines
We require that authors:
*Follow the conventions of American grammar and literature
*Use a 12-point Times New Roman Font
*Double space lines throughout the text
*Submit a structured abstract (described below)
Submissions must meet these requirements before they can be considered for review.
We will not review poorly written submissions, and the editorial staff cannot edit contributions or assist with translation.
*Please ensure your submissions are ready to be published*

Submission Procedure
When submitting your work via the weblink, please supply
the following information:
Disclosure indicating whether or not this submission has already been published in any other language or in any other publication.
Give details ensuring that this work can be used and will not be in violation of any other publications or contracts.
Title (and or subtitle) of the submission,
Names and e-mail addresses of all authors.
A structured abstract (250 words
or fewer, giving a brief overview of the piece).
The abstract or summary should also appear in the attachment which contains the main text of your submission.
Type of submission (Research Article, Short Story, Review, Contemporary Article, Reflection, or Summary)
Word count of the full submission
Brief listing of all attachments,
(only if pictures are added in the submission)

The Brownstone Magazine is actively seeking talented contributors to
enrich our digital and print offerings. We value experienced writers who can
handle assigned topics as well as create engaging short features and profiles.
We are particularly eager to hear from writers who are ready to pitch
innovative story ideas, conduct insightful interviews, and express unique
opinions.
If you're a writer looking to contribute to a dynamic cultural

Once accepted, our editorial team will meticulously proofread your articles and
ensure originality before publication.

There is no charge associated with submitted your work to our publication.
At The Brownstone Magazine, submitting your editorial work is
straightforward and free of charge when sent directly to us, bypassing
third-party involvement. Once we receive your submission, our editorial board
will rigorously review your work and decide on its acceptance.
Approved editorials will be scheduled in our upcoming print issue's
editorial calendar. If your submission is selected for print, we will keep you
updated with the expected publication date upon request.
We are flexible with image orientations—whether landscape or portrait—and
strive to present your images as true to your original vision as possible.
Upon approval, you will be notified about the publication date. For
inspiration and to understand our editorial style, visit the "Read" section or
our social media platforms to view previews of past stories.

By submitting your work to The Brownstone Magazine, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
Copyright Ownership and Permissions:
You, the submitter, certify that you own all necessary rights, including copyright, to the submitted work.
You grant The Brownstone Magazine permission to:
Publish the work as online and/or web content.
Print the submitted work.
Post the work on social media platforms (such as Instagram, Substack, Tiktok) and on the The Brownstone Magazine website.
Use any credits provided by you in all publications.
Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Brownstone Magazine against any claims, demands, actions, suits, or other proceedings brought against The Brownstone Magazine relating to the use of the submitted material. This indemnity covers any issues arising from false or inaccurate statements or misrepresentations in the submitted work.
Rights and Compensation:
You grant these permissions to The Brownstone Magazine free of charge.
The Brownstone Magazine does not provide free print copies to contributors of our printed issues. Digital copies can be provided upon request.
Consents from Participants:
You confirm that all participants involved in the creation of the
submitted material (such as interviewees, models, production staff, etc.) have granted you all necessary rights for their contributions and that their involvement is fully compliant with these terms.
